Can the politically young upstart unseat the veteran? Can concern for the environment supersede all other concerns to spring a surprise on May 5th?
There are perhaps two of the more important questions where Pahang especially is concerned. Because, where the environmentalists are concerned, there are two areas that present potential hazards for the current and future generations; the rare earth plant at Gebeng in Kuantan and the cyanide-based gold mining of Bukit Koman in Raub which is just a little over 30kms from Bentong. |
