Lynas CEO Nick Curtis said they underestimated the opposition to the rare-earth refinery plant by the group Save Malaysia Stop Lynas, in a interview with the Wall Street Journal.
The delay brought on by the activist group cost Lynas an extra Rm561 million (AUD175 million) and the whole project was pushed back a full year.
