PKR today sought an appointment with the inspector general of police in order to get answers for seeming inaction over a PKR-MIC brawl in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya on May 2.

According to PKR's lawyer M Manogaran, the IGP's special officer ACP Ramli Mohd Yoosuf has promised to contact him later today with a suitable time for them to meet either IGP Ismail Omar, his deputy Khalid Abu Bakar or CID chief Bakri Zinin.

"He also suggested we meet with the Kuala Lumpur police chief, and we will consider this," he told reporters at the police headquarters Bukit Aman.

Manogaran, who is also DAP's Teluk Intan MP had accompanied a group of about 15 PKR members today to hand over a memorandum to the IGP over the fracas, which left three PKR members injured

He said the group had informed Bukit Aman of their intentions, but neither the IGP, his deputy nor the CID chief is available today to accept the memorandum.
