| Kuala Lumpur, May 11, 2013: A coalition of religion-based non-governmental organisations has sent out a plea to all quarters to stop stoking racial sentiments in the aftermath of the 13th general election that was concluded on May 5th.
The coalition calling themselves the Friendship Group For Inter-religious Service (FGIS)
comprise of the following NGOs:
Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM)
Buddhist Maha Vihara
Council of Churches of Malaysia (Wilayah)
Malaysia Hindu Sangam
Malaysian Gurdwaras Council
The group is an informal gathering of the major religious groups in the country who are dedicated to foster inter faith unity with all the ethnic and religious groups |
