| The government today confirmed that at least 13 Sulu Intruders in Kampung Tanduo are dead, while releasing three photographs of the dead combatants.
According to Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, the release of the photographs are to prove that what is going on in Lahad Datu is in fact real.
Defence Minister Zahid Hamidi, who was also at the press conference, showed a picture of nine dead bodies piled up together.
Another photograph showed the corpse of a combatant that was killed this morning.
A final photograph showed a burial ground which did not show any dead bodies, but it was revealed that three bodies were inside.
Hishammuddin said they are only confirming the deaths in the photographs which he deems are non-sensitive for public release, declining to confirm the total casualty figures of the intruders. |
